Ignoring about two waking up calls by my mother and then was finally awaken by my around-four-year-old-cell-phone singing to the song, five minutes to midnight by Boys Like Girls is how my days start off every morning before I make my way to the bathroom to enjoy the company of H2O and the ticking of the clock. Waking up in the early morning has been my normal routine of life since the first day of attending school at TDS (Temasek Design School).
Going out of the house with the company of my sister and the cool morning breeze is rather enjoying. Riding the bus and MRT, with fierce looking passengers who will do anything to fight for a seat and who will just get easily pissed off with someone who are literally blocking their way when they made their way in the bus so that other fiercer people can board it together as one big fierce-cy family, will always make me feel that my Mp3 is doing a great job at being a great pal who will sing to me the whole 1 hour journey to school just to keep me company. Hence, he/she constantly needs to be rewarded with a new life so that he/she will last long with me instead of dying without giving any warnings.
Reaching school with a brand new attitude wearing a smile to learn super brand new things that don’t require much knowledge on science and geography but require a lot of visualisation, imagination, creativity and a lot of drawings have always been the priority in entering Architectural Drawing and Communicating Design Idea (ComDI) lessons. Architectural drawing is superbly new to me as DnT and Art wasn’t my thing, lucky thing is that I still persevered on and there are people who I can ask for help from who are my classmates and lecturers and not forgetting a caretaker. ComDI is easily known as English, where I have to write essays which remind me of Miss Ow telling me not to choose argumentative topics.
As days slowly passed and now it’s no longer the first week of school, waking up with two waking up calls had been rather a difficult mission. Now two has increased to four and the alarm was always being snooze twice and finally I can open my eyes and make my way to the bathroom. The simple reason of ignoring the waking up calls by my mother was because I didn’t get the needed hours of sleeping time due to lots of assignments. The breeze that had always made me enjoy about the morning now makes me wonder why could I not spend the day playing house with strange looking aliens, but yet better looking than ET, in my dream cloud all day long freely without any lecturers telling the whole class of YearOnes that we have pin-up review the following day. By having pin-ups the following day means that not many of us could sleep before 1 in the morning as we have to finish our assignments.
Having said that, I miss spending time at home with the walls, television and not forgetting strumming random tunes out of Blackie. Meeting my classmates always makes me go missing the old N-Ones and especially my close buddies inclusive of PPG. I wanted to babble about the orientation camp but now, since it’s over and done with, I don’t feel like doing that.
