I’m going to start off with my weekends at Malaysia with my O’Hara; parents, sister, grandparents and cousins (psst Farhana, I know I did a mistake before and I hope I didn’t make it again. Hahaha.) It was superbly enjoyable. I am not going to babble about everything that I did, from the sleeping with cousins at 3am, waking up at 10am just to see the Aunty who sells Nasi Lemak (aka the tit-tot-tit-tot makcik), to bathing using no water-heater, eating and sleeping again. If I am going to do that, it will take me superbly long to finish this post up and I am negligibly lazy to figure out what come first. So I will just type out the bits and pieces that had happened which are memorable in some way or another.
We were off the planning time to reach there because my grandfather was caught in a meeting to keep the NUH safe and secure. We didn’t blame him because that was his job. We had dinner at 11pm and slept at 1am. Just see, our foods were not being properly digested. Who could blame us to sleep straight away when we reached? We were exceptionally tired of waiting so we were reasonable. Then we were off to do some shopping at Kota Raya. The name of this place sounded luxurious and big, we imagined that there were oodles of shops but to our dismay we ended up buying only foods. Thought there would be shops selling footwear, as I really need new slippers, but none attracted my eyes. So we left Kota Raya empty handed but our tummies were moderately full. With my grandmother around there is no saying ‘No’ with foods.
Plus we, the city girls who never did enjoy farm life, tried eating Sugarcane (the plant). We were all excited about the juice that come out of the plant, using our mouth to suck it out. Usually in cities, we get the juice from the juice-extractor, which is faster and easier. Well, we gain new experience and my grandmother was laughing at us as we were all nervous eating the cane for the first time until my cousin wanted to throw up cause the plant was to hairy for her to chew.
We watched the movie ‘Coffin’, CD, at 1am. Thought it would be great as many gave it two thumbs up and that the movie was terrifying. So we gathered up as many pillows as we could to use them as our protection. In the middle of the movie, my parents and grandparents were sound asleep giving off funny snoring noises. The movie was too slow plus it was not the fear-provoking as we thought it was but it was cool to know that the Thai people believe that they can skip their death by being in the coffin. So the movie didn’t received two thumbs up from me neither just a thumb. Hence, we didn’t get any nightmares from this movie, our efforts of gathering up more than a dozen of pillows were whacked out.
We watched an Indonesian movie, ‘Tali Pocong Perawan’ CD again, at 10am on Sunday, the day we had get going off to Singapore. We were lucky that we didn’t watch in at midnight as it was beyond doubt petrifying. We were shrieking on top of our lungs, including my grandmother. At night, I did get some nightmares about it until I couldn’t sleep calmly.
We went shopping again at some new opened shopping mall, forgotten its name. It was bigger than comparing to Kota Raya but since it’s new, most shops were closed. We didn’t shop till we drop, only at Bread Talk, as the items were not very attractive. So it’s ok, mother told me that we can go shopping for stuffs at our homeland instead plus it will be more worth it. We took photos and the people there were giving their wide-opened eyes at us as if taking photos were a wrong thing to do. We didn’t care too much about them because after all, we are tourists. So we had "dinner" at McDonalds, the taste of their burgers were totally different and finally we reached home, at around 1am. Feeling contented to be safely back at home. So click for the pictures.
♥Weekends pictures at Malaysia.
Well, I had a dream about some Red camp people, and surprisingly they are going to have some mob in the midst of the hustle and bustle of city life at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza on 211208 (SUN) at 8 to 9pm. I’m not sure whether I can, but if I could, I would. For now, I’m just excitedly nervous about the picnic. Additional stuff that is on my mind, I miss MSMR, but too bad for me, just too bad.
